Functions

• Acting as a bridge between the Ministry, stakeholders and missions in Asia and Australasia
• Coordinating relations between the United Republic of Tanzania and promotion of Tanzania's Interests in Asia and Australasia
• Preparing and analysing briefs, position papers, reports on Asia and Australasia
• Participating in regional and international meetings
• Cooperating with our missions in exploiting economic opportunities in the region
• Facilitating and coordinating Joint Permanent Commissions (JPC) meetings
• Monitoring, evaluating and following up the implementation of decisions and agreements where Tanzania is a party.
