First Vice President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, H.E. Parvis Davoodi visit to Tanzania

The First Vice President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, H.E. Parvis Davoodi is expected to arrive in United Republic of Tanzania for a three-day official visit from 10 to 12 May, 2009 following an invitation from his host, the Vice-President of the United Republic of Tanzania, H.E. Dr. Ali Mohamed Shein. On arrival at the Airport, the visiting Vice-President will be met by his host, H.E. Dr. Ali Mohammed Shein.

While in the country, the visiting Iranian Vice-President will pay a courtesy call on the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, H.E. Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete, the Zanzibar President and Chairman of the Revolutionary Council, H.E. Dr. Amani Abeid Karume, Tanzanian Vice-President, H.E. Dr Ali Mohamed Shein and the Prime Minister, Hon. Mizengo Peter Pinda, Zanzibar Chief Minister, Hon. Shamsi Vuai Nahodha.

The Official Welcoming Ceremony at the Karimujee Grounds on 11 May, 2009 before the two Vice Presidents with their respective entourages holding official talks and exchange of agreements at the Kilimanjaro Kempinski Hotel. In the noon, the same day, the Tanzanian Vice President, H.E Dr. Ali Mohamed Shein will host a luncheon for the visiting Vice-President.

Later on the evening on the same day, the two Vice Presidents will attend a Business Forum at the Kilimanjaro Kempinski Hotel before the Iranian First Vice President departs for Zanzibar.

While in Zanzibar on 12th May, 2009, H.E. Parviz Davoodi will be received by H.E. Dr. Amani Abeid Karume, President of Zanzibar and Chairman of the Revolutionary Council and hold official talks followed by signing of Bilateral Agreement (MoU) between the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar and Government of Islamic Republic of Iran.

On the same day, H.E. Parviz Davoodi will tour Stone Town and historical places before meeting the Zanzibar Chamber of Commerce, Business Community and Academicians.

H.E. Parviz Davoodi will depart for his country in the evening of 12th May, 2009.
